Word of the Day: Triskaidekaphobia
 (It means 'fear of the number 13'.)

I'm always perplexed in hotel elevators when the numbers skip from 12 to 14 - how can humanity omit a number just like that... What if we went around leaving out letters of the alphabet? I know some Monograms that would be preeetty unhappy.

Thirteen is my lucky number, therefore my lucky day ;)  Hope you have a fabulous one!!
How about you, any superstitions or good luck charms?

    13th Ave in SF is actually called Funston-I love it! John has his jury on Friday the 13th (it'll roll around in May this year) and I got such a kick out of it this morning!

    i never really got why people were superstitious about the number 13, its as good a number as the others in my book

    It is odd isn't it? Nothing unlucky has happened to me on the 13th, so I have no hard feelings ;)

    that is so very true! i think that superstitions are just something in our mind, i've had bad things happen on days that weren't anywhere near the 13th :P
    oh well...here's to human quirks!
