Gentlemen of the Golden Globes

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Certainly you didn't think I'd miss an opportunity to talk about the boy's ;) Do you have any idea how hard it is to find pictures of the guys without their dates? Ladies get all the attention...let's appreciate the gents a little, shall we?

Best dressed goes to...

The combo of gray and red was unexpected and flattering. He sass'ed it up without overdoing or losing formality.

The navy slim cut suit with a satin peak lapel and complimentary tie are the perfect balance of classic and interesting.

Biebs dressed it up with a vest but kept it young and fresh with sneaks. (Men over the age of 20 need not apply.)

Yes, its velvet in LA. But it's January and in my opinion, acceptable.

And my least favorite...

I might forgive the scraggly mane and leftover pirate scruff, but the atrociously scuffed shoes? Fail. We know you're cooler than the average Joe, no need to try so hard.

Who were your golden hotties??

  1. I wish The Biebs wouldn't have worn sneakers to a red-carpet event! I have to mention I do like his new 'do though. Robert Pattinson looks dapper in his suit.

  2. I don't mind it since he's so young. I think if he were all classic it would feel too forced. At least they were "nice" sneakers?? ;)

  5. love all the selected looks, mr. depp can wear anything and i won't be mad at him, he's just not that into it i'm sure. :)

RDJ is my fave though, and when he wears his glasses i like him extra.

  7. The poor fellas, they always get overlooked at these events. I love RDJ's style - could do without the longish hair, but that grey and red combo is fantastic. He always spins things in some way, like the blue bow tie-tennis shoes-sunnies at the Oscars last year. Love it!

And yeah, Johnny definitely looks his best off the red carpet. I think my favorite of the night was Jeremy Renner.

  8. Ryan is one of the few men who could pull off a velvet suit, which is yet another reason to love him so.

  13. I thought the velvet suit was stunning really, and probably one of the only times one could wear a velvet tuxedo. But I absolutely adored Robert Downey Jr's unique color choice, and thought he pulled off the look magnificently!

  14. I totally agree w/your ratings. Chicks do get most of the attention. RDJ looked amazing and too bad about JD's shoes. I'da be happy to shine them for him. luv this blog.
