I am so with you, I adore pumpkin flavored (and scented for that matter) everything! You have to try the pumpkin butter they sell at Whole Foods, totally divine! (it'll be in the jam section)

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup (with a touch of curry, please!), pumpkin bread-bring it on, fall!
ReplyDeleteNot to step on toes, but I am anti-Big 3 (Coors, Miller, Anheuser) when it comes to beer. MillerCoors has Harvest Moon, Anheuser has Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale. These options are a culmination of artificial flavorings and extracts added after the beer is made. I promise you better.
ReplyDeleteDogfish Head "Punkin Ale" - full-bodied brown ale with brewed with real pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices. Nice body and balance with a clean finish. Stock up because it sells out fast.
Southern Tier "Imperial Pumpking" - deep copper color, again brewed with real pumpkin meat and spices. Known for its distinct hazelnut and spice flavors, as well as the pumpkin, that seem to shift as you drink.
There are dozens of others I could recommend, but these two fail-safes are bound to please any novice to an old salt.
hip hip gin gin - thanks for the tip I will def. check that out! I can just imagine it on a toasted bagel. Mmmmm...
ReplyDeleteJabberjaws - Frankie feels the same way! I usually order whatever is available if we're out but if purchasing, he's definitely the in charge. Brewed with real pumpkin meat does sound much better than extract :)
Mmm, everything looks and sounds delicious. I am a year 'round chai tea lover, but it does happen to go perfect with fall days!
ReplyDeletei almost made pumpkin cheesecake bites the other day before it hit 113 degrees!! they are just the BEST!!
