From the Royal Wedding and Kentucky Derby, to trend reports and media, fascinators are on everyone's lips. (Even CNN Money is talking about them.) More than a headband, not quite a hat, these gorgeous headpieces make the best of feathers, flowers & frill.

Sites like Etsy, Big Cartel, and Asos are stocked with options or try your hand at a DIY version courtesy of Eugenia Kim. Just review the tips for how to wear and you'll be channeling your inner fabulous in no time!

  1. I must say, these are quite the pieces, however, I am not bold enough to ever sport one.

  6. I would love to wear one, but it can't be an over the top one. Maybe slightly more than a flowered/feathered headband.

  7. I love hearing Americans talking about fascinators and hats, it's so standard for us English girls to wear them to weddings/events that it seems funny to hear you all say you haven't got the balls to wear one. Just go for it!! x

  8. George's Mum - I couldn't agree more! We must sound silly hem-hawing about :) Unfortunately, (I think) our culture is very casual and wearing something so fabulous would definitely garner some gawks. However, in my opinion life is too short to be anything but fabulous!! I'm going for it!

  9. I have been thinking the same thing!!! Ha I didn't really understand what they were at first. How do they stay on the head? I still don't know! They'd be nice for special occasions, but American guys just wouldn't appreciate it at all!
