Girl Goes Glamping
Wednesday, May 25, 2011
We've been discussing the possibility of camping for a portion of the holiday weekend. We do it the old fashioned way, with a pop-up tent and air mattress, and while I enjoy connecting with nature in a simple way, it sure would be lovely to experience fresh air and night noises from the comfort of a queen size bed :)

I have heard of the place!! But I'm Canadian though...my kinda camping! But your kind sounds great, too.
ReplyDeleteThe only way I will camp is if someone takes me glamping! I'm not a high maintenance girl, but I am a germophobe and I just can't cope with laying on the ground and the possibility of bugs, etc. Unless we are talking about the beach one would definitely not consider me outdoorsy =) But this place looks fantastic, I would happily go there any day!
ReplyDeleteOK now this is the way to camp. Reminds me of the Ralph Lauren (right, or am I wrong?...) teepees that are all decked out!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I would definitely go glamping. I've only been camping once; when I was maybe seven years old one of my good friends and I had a daddy-daughter camping weekend. It wasn't bad - of course, it was at a camp site with showers and such - but I've never been again for no particular reason!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think, some hardcore campers consider even having an air mattress "glamping." I would take one of the camps pictured here over my old air mattress (which is one of those thick 2-layered ones of course) any day! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! If I'm gonna rough it every where else then at least give me a good pillow and a bed! These are gorgeous. How fun to camp in your backyard like this!

i love the idea of glamping!!! p.s. i am an "old-fashioned" type of camper, too ;) lol
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go there - one of the nicest places in my home land! I' also hoping to do a little camping this summer...but very no frills (which sort of makes me sad).

Ashleigh, thanks for the sweet birthday wishes for S!
ReplyDeleteI love camping, and though I have no problem "roughing it" (no air mattress, though that has changed, and I would much prefer an air mattress these days...), I would have to agree with you. It would be really nice, just once to have an all out super stylish, and comfy camping experience that is over the top.
i love camping, though not in the woods but at those resorts which have tents as accommodation. kind of like the one in the pics :))
ReplyDeletehappy camping to you!
I've always wanted to do this!
ReplyDeleteGlamping makes my heart pitter patter just a little faster-I imagine John wearing flannel and hunting things while I read and make cocoa in those cute tin cups!
ReplyDeletei'd go camping every day if it looked like this. my goodness.
ReplyDeletehaaaaah! glamping! cheers to that.
