Southern Wedding Inspiration

Y'all know I'm a Southern girl at heart so naturally I'm swooning over these pictures from a 'Southern sweet meets California cool' wedding inspired photoshoot. Drawing inspiration from traditional southern elements (lace, bourbon, sweet tea) with a California twist (succulents, poppies, peach nectar) this fete is blowing my mind...the centerpieces are like texture heaven! Green tomatoes, cotton and a mint mixing station, what else do you need in life??

Loving the Look of Leather

I've never considered myself a wearer of leather. (I have one jacket from years ago that I keep hanging on to thinking I'll fall madly in love with again and begin to wear with everything but so far...not happening.) For some reason though, I've fallen for this leather look skirt. I think the feminine ruffle makes it seem a little less biker, a little more rocker chic. Whatdya say, would you rock this baby??

Happy Weekend {Movie Edition}

Happy Weekend Dolls! Is it cold where you are? Here in Chicago we had sleet Thursday night, brrrr...which means movie weather is upon us! I hardly watch TV or movies in the summer so I can savor every little bit of sunshine at the beach, on the balcony or dining al fresco. But come chilly weather, call me Mrs. Couch Potato! Last week we watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and while lengthy, I fell in love with the story. I also fell head over heels for one miss Cate Blanchett, those cheekbones!

Let's appreciate a little Cate, shall we?

Photogenic Fall

Fall is so photogenic don't you think?
These are pictures I took a couple weeks ago on our engagement anniversary in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. In addition to the beautiful mountain scenery, Blowing Rock has the sweetest little downtown area, spending a day there feels like stepping back in time - so relaxing and wonderful! The last picture was taken in the exact spot he proposed (except it was a bench at the time.)
