Lift Up Nashville

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Local artists created this cool collection of prints with the proceeds going towards flood relief.  Get one here.

Most families didn't have flood insurance and many lost nearly everything. Want to see what a flood looks like?  Stephanie posted a few photos showing the damage to her mother's home.

Opryland Hotel Atrium prior to flooding

I'm feeling very sad for Tennessee. I was honored to call Nashville and the surrounding area home for almost 5 years during college and the 1st couple years of our marriage. There is so much beauty there and so much to love. Unfortunately, many of those beautiful things have suffered damage and ruin after the weekend flooding, not to mention serious injuries and lives lost. I'm sending special prayers and hoping your families are safe and sound.

This video shows the devastating water levels in the Opryland Hotel :(
