Last year was such a blast we did it again. (Rent a 15 passenger van and tour some Southwest Michigan wineries that is.) We're a pretty energetic crew but a few tastings in, who needs a Red Bull when there's a wooden one with a saddle and cute hat? Cooler than Ice Wine, that's what I'd say about this tradition.
Did you love the Round Barn? I love that place! Also, I liked their beers and whiskey almost more than the wine. Looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time! I grew up in Michigan (live in Chicago now) and love the wineries up near Traverse City and Leelanau Peninsula...you guys should try those sometime. It could be a fun road trip in the van!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, ice wine and apples-I think I'm in heaven!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My sister lives in Grand Rapids, I remember seeing billboards for the wineries whenever I'd go to visit her from Chicago. We'd always say we were going to do some wine tastings, but never had the chance before I moved away. I think Tabor Hill is around there too, I was crazy about their wine for the longest time!
ReplyDeleteYeah Round Barn! Love that place! We should do a blogger's day trip one day!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun and you're reminding mr of great ice wine.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I didnt play the flute bite played the recorder. It brings me back to elementary school!
Ahh so much fun. My friend and I have been trying to plan a wine tasting outing - now I must go through with it.
ReplyDeletethat looks TOO amazing. I go wine tasting a lot here in Oregon, it's a blast and it usually ends up as rowdy as your group!
ReplyDeletePS that jewlery story was across from a Hudson News (so helpful) haha and it's literally a bunch of crappy, cheap jewelery, bags and sunglasses for cheap! I had 6 hour layover there so I had a lot of fun going through it, got a few "just for fun" pieces.
Winery tour? Um yes please!
ReplyDeleteHehe that is such a fun idea!!! :D
